I was driving toward the Lake Tanuki viewpoint at dusk.
While the destination was fixed, driving along the quiet provincial road in Fujinomiya, the sudden sight of Mt. Fuji glowing against soft pink sunset clouds made me pull over on a safe shoulder.

The initial plan was to park at Lake Tanuki and view Mt. Fuji from the lakeside.
Yet as the sun dipped, angled evening rays caught the snowy summit while the clouds around its mid-slope turned a gentle rose pink. A pale moon hung quietly in the open sky.
Even without a formal observatory platform, the balance of evening light and the open ridgeline made for a memorable pause.
