I spent one night at Lotte Resort Sokcho on September 20, 2026. I stayed in an ocean-facing Junior Family Suite, where the East Sea and the Sokcho coastline were visible from the room and balcony.

A room facing the sea

According to the official room information, the Junior Family Suite is 57.5 m² for up to four guests, with two double beds, a bedroom and living area, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. Check-in is listed at 3 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m. Having the bathroom and separate toilet effectively gave us two places to use, which was especially convenient for four people. From the ocean-facing room where I stayed, the sea toward Sokcho Beach and Daepo Port felt close by.

A waterpark visit before dinner

I used the indoor waterpark before dinner. During my September 2026 stay, rooftop canopy construction was under way, so I could not use the outdoor waterpark. Lotte Resort’s official notice lists the construction period as September 1 through December 31, 2026, with restrictions on some outdoor facilities and guest routes. During my stay, a temporary construction-period benefit let us use the indoor waterpark and jjimjilbang free of charge. The exact facilities and benefits can change, so it is worth checking the latest notice before visiting.

After the waterpark and dinner, returning to the room and watching the sea change color toward sunset was a pleasant way to finish the day. The sea, more than the building itself, was the center of this stay.
